About Your Teacher

I have been teaching for over 50 years.  After teaching in the public school system for a couple years, the teaching has all been private.  My degree is in music education from UC Boulder.

My main objective with teaching is to nurture a deep love of music.  My students learn about history, theory, technique and musicianship.  We do a lot of imagining around here.

Our studio is open to 30 students each year.  We have just 2 openings at this time.  My specialty is starting young students in their music career.   Some of my students have been with me for ten years or more.  The last of this batch will graduate from high school this  year.  A whole new crop is growing and learning!!

The studio holds one Grand Piano and two Yamaha Digital Pianos.  We play lots of two piano duets.

It gives me great pleasure to introduce music in a joyous way.
